Birthday post to come this weekend
Hello, friendly readers! I’ll bet you didn’t think you’d get another post before Casey’s first birthday, did ya? Well, consider this proof that Jessie can stay on top of things – even the family blog! (This might be an appropriate time to buy Satan a pair of ice skates
)
As you may or may not know, Halloween weekend also happened to be Harding’s homecoming weekend – and as you also may or may not know, Chris and Mandy’s Aunt Thelma went to Harding, so she came to town to participate in the reunion festivities!
We were able to meet up with her for coffee and bring her over to our house to see Casey and the beautiful nursery painted by his Aunt Mandy. Of course, we love when family comes for a visit, so Aunt Thelma – thanks for spending some time with us during this quick trip from Chicago (GObama!). Here’s a post all about you… and, y’know, Casey.

Aunt Mandy got hungry... or was she just giving Casey a taste of his own NOMing?

"Oh hey, Aunt Thelma brought a necklace for me to chomp!"

Of course, a seasoned mom isn't worried about the necklace, just happy to see the baby!

Big ol' cheesy grin FTW!

Some like their coffee; some like their fingers

Chris, Aunt Thelma, Mandy, and Casey

Chris, Aunt Thelma, Casey, and Jessie (check it out - Casey has inherited his daddy's fake picture grin!)
And a good time was had by all. Remember: you, too, can have your very own post on the Fulks Family Blog when you travel great distances (or maybe even short ones) to see The Little Man… and really, who wouldn’t want their pictures all over our blog?
PS: Apologies for the random spacing… not really sure why it’s doing that. Enjoy anyway!
That one work could sum up our life this month! Casey had another round of double ear infections, and again pulled through like a trooper. I started back teaching preschool two mornings a week, am still working at the gym childcare center, and finally dropped Bath and Body Works. I miss it, but the convenience of my other two jobs with regards to Casey won out. I just LOVE working with kids, and at this point in my life it’s easier. Chris is on his second business trip this month; Memphis last week, and Rochester, NY this week! I’m happy for him; he’s never been to NY before so this will be a lot of fun for him.
I’ll do more of an update later, but I’m a bit busy (there’s that word again!) getting the house cleaned up and ready – not just for Chris coming home, but for a very special someone whom Casey and I are picking up from the airport this afternoon…

In case you haven’t figured it out, Casey’s Mimi is coming all the way from NC to see her little angel!
(Oh, and tomorrow’s her birthday. Which may or may not have anything to do with the timing of the trip. I’ll leave that up to you to figure out, lovely readers.)
Wow – it has been WAY too long since I’ve updated! I’ve been updating a bit more regularly on my personal blog, and have neglected to keep up with the one you REALLY want to read, since it’s all about the Case-man. I will do better!
Let’s do some recapping for you faithful Casey fans…

Yes – that is THE Jonah we’ve been reading about and loving on and praying for! He lives not too far from camp, so in our way back home at the end of July, we make a (far too) short visit so Casey could meet his little friend that we’ve been praying for – and of course, he slept through the whole thing! So I got to take advantage of my folks being there and pass him off so I could hold sweet Jonah myself.

Look at those big blue eyes! If you think your heart melts seeing them on Patrice’s blog, just multiply that times 525600 and that’s about how fast your heart melts when you see them in person.
(For some reason, even after cropping, I can’t get the other pictures to show up correctly – portrait vs. landscape, and they’re posting on their side, so this is all I’ve got for now.)
But believe me when I say that this really was the highlight of our summer. As if camp wasn’t magnificent enough… Jonah was definitely the icing on the cake that was my and Casey’s trip to NC in July!
And just think… Casey will be 9 months in FOUR DAYS. I can hardly believe it… well, until then, have a great rest of your weekend, everyone
PS: Make sure you go to Patrice’s blog and get the latest Jonah button for your blog to show your support and love for this little man! And while you’re at it, go to Jonah’s support group and get either a blue magnet or black/gold magnet for your car – not only will you be helping Jonah by helping purchase his much-needed bandaging supplies, but 10% will go to the DebRA group to help find a cure for Jonah’s skin disorder, Epidermolysis Bullosa. I don’t mind telling you that these magnets are going to be stocking stuffers for EVERYONE in our families this Christmas!
A few shots of Casey and Daddy hanging out before bed the other night… 6 month checkup coming this Friday – and Granny’s coming to town for it, yay!

Here’s what Casey had to say to his grumps tonight while videochatting…

…because 6 months ago today, on November 26, Casey finally decided (with a little pitocin and a lot of help from Miss Lisa and daddy) to make his entrance into the world! Happy half a year, buddy. It’s been the best 6 months I’ve ever had!
Here are a few shots from this morning… so you can see the tooth that’s sprouting!

Yep. That’s my son. Making those faces.
And yes – the tooth hurts.
