042. Couldn’t have said it better myself

My beautiful yet imperfect, courageous yet struggling friend Patrice (aka Jonah’s mommy) posted something on her blog today that has left me speechless and in tears.  While many of us have not been through losing a child or raising a child with a (currently) incurable, pain-inflicting disease, I know that many many many wives and moms can relate to everything she says.  Please give it a read. And let’s join her in taking our lives back.  I know I want mine.

(Side note: I realize that personal struggles cannot be compared; that is, you shouldn’t be self-depricating about your “minor” struggles simply because other people “have it worse” or “have been through so much more” – everyone’s struggles are personal and worth the time and energy to be dealt with.  Just in case anyone thought I was trying to make typical/everyday struggles sound minor compared to other struggles.  Struggles are struggles.  Satan uses them all.  Period.)

I think we can all take something from what she says.

    Beautiful.
